A limited physical edition from KAI/N — the Echo. Pressed on white vinyl, hand-finished and hand-numbered. Side A contains the double track Gute Nacht V1 + V2. Side B contains See the Silence — a piece that exists exclusively on vinyl. It cannot be streamed. It cannot be digitized. It cannot be reproduced. Perhaps this is the only piece of music you can see, but never hear.
What's in the box? A 12-inch white vinyl record, housed in a hand-finished sleeve made from heavyweight pure cotton paper. Dimensional embossing and letterpress printing give the sleeve a distinctly crafted character. Individually prepared before printing, no two sleeves are identical. Includes a 16-page insert. Each copy is hand-numbered. Limited to 150 copies.
The Dialogue, the Lyrics, the Residue. The book can be ordered separately or together with the Limited Vinyl Edition. It documents the development of KAI/N — the Echo across approximately 500 pages. It is not designed as a conventional book with a clear beginning or end. From one side, it begins with the chat and a short preface. From the other, it begins with the collected lyrics — the result of the dialogue. Both directions meet in the centre, where the afterword reflects on the process, the work and the mechanism behind it. The book is produced in a small A6 format with open thread stitching and no classic title spine. Its covers are made from surplus sheets and makulatur from the production of the vinyl sleeves, making every cover different.
